Victoria/Tomas Palais de Tokyo, 26 Feb 2019.

The most “Original Garments Entirely designed in the most beautiful city in the World” with a capital W. Victoria/Tomas, a collection established in their hometown of Paris, France has given the pleasure of watching these young designers unfourl their feathers in front of the globe’s fashion world’s veterans since 2012. World which is spelled with a capital W.

Each year the fashion pack comes to partake in the seasons offerings, to watch young designers’ continued progress as they test again their wings. Every year reviewers comment after the show. Since 4 seasons V/T aftershow exchanges between the pack have glowed with approval while watching their growth and fine tuning of their brand. And this is how a young brand finds themselves atop of the fashion heap as Victoria/ Tomas are on their way to find out.

This year even more polish and finesse was heaped on the playful and flirty silhouettes in gingham fringed cowgirl dresses over patchworked jeans, handkerchief-hemlined skirts, and girly trench and cargo jackets at times sleeveless and or in skirts with their own added twist. Patchwork was throughout and shown in denims, calico and cotton plain and striped shirting. Tucked-in bulky sweaters were also a highlight.

Colors were neutral added with endless shades of blues and denim. Pink and bright yellow also made a marked showing with touches of bright red and green.

In all this season’s offering from Victoria/-Tomas was a solid, professional and well showing collection, affirming their trajectory. One for which the design duo can be proud.
