Haute couture can be over experimental, on the other hand it can be dull, the trick is for the designer to find their own signature. The answer to a good collection is one where the designers is clearly in line with their clients and the room is filled with happy smiles and the ring of applause is in the air; Yanina Couture certainly achieves this.

The use of colour, the glamour and the perfection of the finish shows a designer in harmony with her own signature and her clients.

As the first model strides down the seeming miles of red carpet, the end was mirrored doubling the effect, the fronts of her flowered and feathered puffball accessorised with chic black evening gloves and high heels pumps through to the bride this show was consistently lovely and well controlled.

Every piece was couture ready; black velvet and silken tulle ruffles, a sculptural white skirt and black  plumed capelet, a black velvet strapless gown with huge ostrich flounced sleeves, or a black sheer embroidered mermaid dress with a floating, trailing swoosh of train behind it.

However it was the colour usage which was really wonderful, especially against that cunningly selected red carpet? Shaded deep rose pink ostrich fronds on tulle, brilliant lipstick pink mousseline with deep neck ruffles, bright sky blue, deep aquamarine, pale tangerine and more pinks.

The floating tiered and ruffles brilliant orange dress simply wafted past like a cloud of colour, weightless and seemingly untouched by human hands to create it shape.

The palest of aquas over white in goddess draperies and silver grey misty tulle provided brilliant alternatives and this control of the colour palette and its placing in the show was a delight.

As she took her bows, acknowledged the applause and received flowers, Yanina was smiling from ear to ear and well might she; Bravo!
