Haute couture label granted to Rabih Kayrouz
Rabih Kayrouz is just getting the haute couture label as a permanent member.
The commission of France’s Industry Ministry of Economy and Finance granted the name haute couture to the House Rabih Kayrouz, on Dec. 3rd 2018, the federation said. It becomes the 15th couturier to possess the precious sesame. The Lebanese designer will present his new collection on January 21st, this time as a permanent member of F.H.C.M.
The designer, born in Lebanon, graduated from the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in 1994, then completed internships with Dior and Chanel. He returned to Beirut, attracted by the energy of his country in full reconstruction, to create bridal dresses for his girlfriends and for customers then expanding its production. In 1998, he founded Rabih Kayrouz House where for ten years, he offers unique pieces for women who inspire him. In 2009, he returned to France and set up his studio at 38, Boulevard Raspail in Paris.

He surrounds himself with the best French craftsmen and manufacturers to create his luxury ready-to-wear with clean lines. A city wardrobe a sophisticated nothing. The house, which featured for a long time in March during the women’s Paris Fashion Week, decided to join the January Couture Week meeting to scroll through its collections as a guest member.
There are 13 guest members on the couture calendar this January, including Balmain. The brand is returning to the couture calendar for the first time in 16 years.
The couture shows in Paris are to take place from Jan. 21 to Jan. 24 2018.
